Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse:

• Assess, plan, and implement wound care treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
• Educate patients and their families on proper wound care practices and self-management techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Document changes in patient conditions and maintain accurate records of wound care.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices and advancements in wound care management.

Qualifications of a Wound Care Nurse:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of employment.
• Certification in Wound Care (preferred) or a commitment to obtain certification.
• Previous experience in wound care or home health is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient care skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
