Responsibilities of the IV Nurse:

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized intravenous therapy plans for patients.
• Administer IV medications and fluids with precision and care.
• Educate patients and their families about the IV process, ensuring they understand their treatment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for each patient.
• Document changes in patient conditions and maintain accurate records of IV therapy.

Qualifications of an IV Nurse:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
• Previous experience in intravenous therapy or related fields is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient care skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
